How do I connect to my virtual appointment?

1. Through Email

Clicking the Begin Your Online Appointment link within the reminder email you received 30 minutes before your call.

2. Through Your Account

Logging into your My Account from the Online Booking site and hitting the Begin button to start the call.

3. Through the App

Download the 1:1 iOS Jane Online Appointments App, and then click the link in the reminder email to start the appointment.

Are sessions covered through insurance?

Most insurance plans cover the cost of counselling services with a Registered Social Worker (RSW).

You will be provided with a receipt at the end of each session which will contain all the necessary information to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.s space for describing your block. Any text will do. Description for this block. You can use this space for describing your block.

How can counselling help me?

Counselling aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable. It can provide a safe and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult feelings. Your counsellor is there to support you and respect your views. Your counsellor will help you find your own insights into and understanding of your problems.

What can I expect during my first session with a social worker?

While every circumstance is unique, sample questions a social worker may ask during a first appointment include:

  • Who can you count on for support?
  • Why are you seeking help?
  • Is it a new or long-standing problem?
  • Have things changed and, if so, how?
  • How are you managing other parts of your life?
